The inaugural Hungry Bear 100 is less than two weeks away, so we felt it was time to issue an update!

Registration: This will take place starting at 7:00 in the morning, in the parking lot of Ideal Market, in downtown Cable, WI.  All you need to bring is ID, and we will have you sign a waiver, and give you your number plate.

Parking: There is very limited parking in downtown Cable, so you are asked to please park in the parking lot of the old Cable school.  Check out the cool graphic I made to show you where you can and cannot park.

Course: We have covered the entire course last weekend, and it is in excellent shape.  Almost entirely gravel forest roads, there is also a bit of pavement in the mix, as well as just a few hundred yards of “interesting”.  Many people have asked what the course is, but you will just need to ride it to find out.  We have modified the course, so that both the 60 mile and the 100 mile start and end in Cable.  The finish will be back in Cable, right where you registered. You will receive a cue sheet when you register.

After: The Rivers Eatery has graciously agreed to host us again, so we can hang out and drink beer and give some award hugs to the winners.  Please plan on joining us after the race.

Lodging: People have asked where to stay.  Check out Matt Dale’s page www.haywardrentals.com.  Matt is one of the local trail builders, and has some good places.  Also check out the full listing of local places at www.cable4fun.com/stay
