We are pleased to announce the 2016 Hungry Bear 100 – a true wilderness gravel event around the Chequamegon National Forest.
Starting off at 9am on May 7th, 2016, a max of 200 riders will choose either the 100 mile or 100k course, and this course is remote. There is no support or stores anywhere on the 100k course, and there is only one diner on teh 100 mile course, around mile 65 (the Delta Diner).
The 2016 Hungry Bear 100 is presented by the Angry Catfish, we owe them tremendous thanks for backing our events, and bearing the cost of putting them on so that we can continue to accomplish our goals of donating all proceeds to cycling non-profits.
This year’s beneficiary of the Hungry Bear 100 is Bicycles for Humanity, or more specifically, creating a MN/WI Chapter of Bicycles for Humanity. B4H is an organization that collects donated, used bicycles, and places them with a community in Africa, complete with tools and spare parts, to create an economy around using bicycles to improve transportation.
Signup is open, and we are using the very simple BikeReg.com system this year. So just follow this link, and sign up now! https://www.bikereg.com/hungry-bear-100
